Do you feel like sometimes you are staring at the piles of school books you need to study but just can't seem to concentrate? That 10 minutes had passed by and you're still reading the same line? Or you have been working at your job mindlessly without being able to focus, and at this stage you're just making plenty of mistakes you're getting frustrated at yourself? You are not alone! We have all been there.
Fortunately, there are a few tricks you could put into practice if you understand how our brain works. And the answer is - stimulation.
Your brain responds to stimulation. It is interested in stimulation. Look around the world we are living in - the media, the internet, the sound, the graphics, the light, and even the drugs - they all have the same purpose, which is to stimulate our brains so we will react to them! When our brain is stimulated, we become curious, our attention is focused, and time just passes by without us noticing.
So now, you see where we are going with this? If you don’t stimulate the brain with the work that you wish to do, your brain can't feel the necessity of that work,
and ultimately, that thought and memory will fade away and be forgotten. If you want to do the work you set out to do, you must first wake up your thoughts vividly by stimulating your brain cells.
What can I do to stimulate my brain fundamentally?
If you find yourself not able to focus, don't panic or get frustrated. Close your eyes and clear your mind. Remind yourself the reason why it is important to accomplish the work in front of you, and picture yourself at the finish line - the joy, the satisfaction, and the pride you will have! Ask God sincerely to wake up your brain fundamentally, and He will let you realize by inspiring your heart and thoughts. His wisdom will come to you. His peace will encompass you. The Word you heard during church sermons or bible studies will serve as the stimulant to get you going again!
Once your brain cells get stimulated, your mind will focus itself. Now you are ready to take on the next big challenge awaited you, feeling confident and cheerful. What do you say? Shall we give it a try? :)
Ending prayer for our readers:
May you be blessed to wake up your brain fundamentally, love the Almighty God, receive good stimulation in your brain, and enjoy the eternal joy.
[Scriptures] Mark 13: 33-35 Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come.
It’s like a man going away: He leaves his house and puts his servants in charge,
each with their assigned task, and tells the one at the door to keep watch.
Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back—whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn.
